One of my favorite essential oils is the 'Thieves' blend. Not only does it have a wonderfully cinnamon spice aroma, but it also contains some of the strongest antiviral properties around. I put this oil (slightly diluted) on my kids feet and spine before Sunday school, regular school, gym time or any other highly populated outing as a preventative.

Yes! Essential Oils can be used as a preventative defense, not just after someone gets sick.  Although, it can help shorten viruses of all kinds if you do happen to contract something!
